Involved flat rolled products from China, Korea, European Union, Japan, Indonesia, West Asia, America, Thailand, South Africa, United Arab Emirates, Singapore, Vietnam, and Malaysia
On 23th of December, Directorate General of Trade Remedies in India published a notification, announcing that India made a final closure on the flat rolled products of stainless steel originated from China, Korea, European Union, Japan, Indonesia, West Asia, America, Thailand, South Africa, United Arab Emirates, Singapore, Vietnam, and Malaysia:
- Considering that Government is temporarily charging countervailing duties on flat rolled products of stainless steel towards China (Final Disclosure on July 4, 2017) and Indonesia (First Disclosure on August 7, 2020). Therefore, DGTR proposed to increase the difference of $454/mt for the flat rolled products of stainless steel imported from China and difference of $167 to $441 for the one imported from Indonesia. And if the China’s and Indonesia’s current countervailing duties and provisional countervailing duties were higher than that of the identified $454 / mt and $167 to $441 / mt, then anti-dumping duties will not be imposed on the flat rolled products of stainless steel imported from China and Indonesia;
- DGTR suggest to charge anti-dumping duties on flat rolled products of stainless steel towards South Korea, the European Union, Japan, Malaysia, and China Taiwan. Details are as follows: South Korea: $67 to $370 / mt, European Union: $0 to $944 / mt, Japan: $67 to $374 / mt, Malaysia: $237 to $474 / mt, China Taiwan: $336 / mt,
- The anti-dumping investigation against stainless steel rolled products originating in or imported from the United States, Thailand, South Africa, the United Arab Emirates, Singapore, Mexico, Vietnam and China Hong Kong shall be terminated, and no anti-dumping measures shall be imposed. The above anti-dumping measures shall take effect from the date of publication of the Central Government of India and shall remain valid for five years.

And the products involved in this notification mainly are under the India Custom category of Code 7219 and Code7220.
On 3rd July of 2019, India Ministry of Commerce and Industry published a notification, announcing that Jindal Stainless Limited, Jindal Stainless (Hisar) Limited and Jindal Stainless Steelway Limited have jointly submit an application, and requested for an anti-dumping investigation on the flat rolled products of stainless steel originated from China, Korea, European Union, Japan, Indonesia, West Asia, America, Thailand, South Africa, United Arab Emirates, Singapore, Vietnam, and Malaysia, And the investigation was started from April of 2018 to March of 2019, and damage investigation period was on the year of 2015 to 2016; 2016 to 2017 and 2017 to 2018.
