China domestic steel industry for November 2020, the production of crude steel in China reached 87.6 million tons. Compared with the one in the same period last year, the production is 8% higher, and increasing ratio is 4% higher. For the steel production, it increased by 10.8%, and increasing ratio is 4% higher. As for the ferroalloy, the production fell 8%, and the production was increased by 13.6% at the same period last year. According to the statistics provided by Chinese Custom, the export of steel is 4.4 million tons, which is 0.36 million tons higher than previous month. And the import of steel is 1.85 million tons, which is 80 thousand tons less than previous year.
From January to November, total production of crude steel is 96.1 billion tons, and it increased by 5.5% than the same period last year, and increasing ratio fell about 1.5%. And the total steel production is about 120 billion tons, which is 7% higher. As for coke, its total production is about 431 million tons, which is 0.2% lower than the same period last year. The total production of ferroalloy is 48.3 million tons, reducing by 18.1% compared with the same period last year. During this period, the export of steel is about 48.83 million tons, falling by 18.1%. And the import of steel is 18.8 million tons, increasing by 74.3%, and the import of iron ore increased by 10.9%, reaching 10.7 billion tons.
The price of steel also goes higher than previous year in China domestic steel industry. In November, compared with previous month, the average price of steel in domestic market is about 111.76, which is 4.75% higher. For 6.5mm high-line steel, its average price reaches RMB 4250 per ton, increasing by 7.3%. And the price of 20mm middle steel is RMB3993 per ton, which is 0.8% higher. As for 0.1mm flat cold-rolled sheet, the average price is about RMB 4950 per ton, being 4.1% than previous month.
